Our children learn very early that happiness is an important virtue. We ask: Are you happy? I hope you are happy? All I want is for you to be happy?

I heard once that if you wanted to be totally miserable then make personal happiness or self fulfillment, a goal for your life. Is that true? So what is happiness? Where does it come from? And should it be a goal for our lives. Or does happiness come as a byproduct of something else, something paradoxical?

We will be having this discussion with our children at 6:00 p.m. on First Wednesday.

As always supper is at 5:30 p.m. We  are having
pancakes and sausage.

The Women’s Circle III is meeting at 6:00 p.m.

Our choir is practicing at 7:00 p.m.
